The Supreme Audit Institution of Albania participated in the workshop on the training of moderators for the IntoSAINT integrity self-assessment tool, held in Bucharest, Romania, from 7 to 10 October 2025. This training brought together 22 representatives from 12 EUROSAI member states, where ALSAI was represented by Ms. Ermira Hoxha, Director of Human Resources and Ms. Xhesila Nano, Director of Communication and External Relations, in an intensive program with a special focus on strengthening capacities for moderating the institutional integrity self-assessment according to the IntoSAINT methodology. The activity was welcomed by Mr. Matanyahu Englman, President of EUROSAI, and Ms. Mirela Călugăreanu, President of the Court of Accounts of Romania.

The training marked the first implementation of the updated and digitalized IntoSAINT format, and was led by three experienced trainers from the Supreme Audit Institutions of Norway and the Netherlands. Participants engaged in a combination of theory and practice through simulations and hands-on exercises, gaining in-depth knowledge of the IntoSAINT methodology and its application in institutional integrity self-assessments. They also developed skills in moderating the self-assessment process, focusing on identifying weaknesses, managing integrity-related issues, and using practical tools and planning strategies to ensure a successful assessment.

Following the training, participants will enter a further qualification phase, which includes acquiring access to the Questback platform, an essential step for certification and for independently leading IntoSAINT self-assessment processes.

By actively participating in such international initiatives, ALSAI continues to strengthen its commitment to ethics and integrity, by following best practices and develops internal capacities to support the implementation of strong governance standards.
