On September 17, 2025, the Chairman of the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution and representatives of the ALSAI welcomed the delegation of the European Parliament, namely the Budgetary Control Committee, in the framework of their mission to Albania and Montenegro. During the meeting, the importance of independent external audit institutions such as the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution in auditing funds provided by the European Union in various areas of the economy was discussed, where the importance and appreciation for the cooperation that the ALSAI has with the institutions in the framework of achieving common objectives was particularly emphasized.

In addition, the representatives of the Budgetary Control Committee praised the auditing work of the ALSAI in supervising the proper use of budgetary and European funds, as a factor of particular importance in the steps towards the country’s membership in the European Union. The meeting concluded with with a mutual commitment to further cooperation in the context of improving the well-being of citizens and ensuring the fair use of European funds.
