The Chairman of ALSAI, Mr. Arben Shehu, held a meeting with the heads and other representatives of SAI’s from the Western Balkans and Moldova, who are taking part in the event organized on December 4-5 in Tirana by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the occasion of the project “Smart Finance for Accountable Local Governance”.

Mr. Shehu expressed his appreciations to the attendees for their participation and commitment in this meeting. Moreover, Mr. Shehu expressed his full, personal and institutional willingness, to continue and further deepen the mutual cooperation, not only within the framework of this project, but also beyond, with audits that will focus on important issues, concerning the countries of our region.

The attendees thanked the Chairman of ALSAI for organizing the meeting and for the ideas expressed, underlining the importance of cooperation between SAIs in the region, and conveyed their full willingness to continue with joint initiatives in the future.
