On May 23, 2025, the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution organized an open lecture with students of the Faculty of Economics at the “Luigj Gurakuqi” University, Shkodra, as part of the activities marking the 100th anniversary of its establishment. This activity aimed to familiarize young people with the role and contribution of the institution in strengthening transparency and good governance in the country.

The lecture on the topic ‘100 years of reliability, integrity and service to citizens – the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution as a guarantor of transparency and good governance in Albania’ was given by Ms. Xhesila Nano, senior auditor at the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution.

During her presentation, Ms. Nano pointed out the historical and current role of the ALSAI as one of the earliest institutions of the Albanian state, emphasizing its mission in supporting the rule of law, through promoting transparency, strengthening accountability and improving public governance.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. As. Dr. Elidiana Bashi, in her capacity as host, expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution for its sustainable commitment to the professional education of students, especially at this important historical moment for the institution.

Through continuous cooperation with higher education institutions and the organization of activities with students, the ALSAI aims to contribute sustainably to the preparation of new generations of professionals, aware of their role in building a transparent and accountable public administration.

On May 20, 2025, the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution marked the 100th anniversary of its establishment as the highest public finance control institution in Albania.
