On February 25, 2026, the discussion table “Truth Beyond Numbers” was held at the premises of “Xheko Imperial” in Tirana, an activity that marks the official launch of the two-year project implemented by the Faktoje.al organization, with the support of the MATRA program of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Albania.

This project, which is being implemented within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the Supreme State Audit Office and the Faktoje.al organization, aims to increase the impact of audit findings on the public debate, by turning audit findings into understandable and useful information for citizens through analytical reporting and advocating for reforms in public policies.

The event was attended by Ms. Klodiana Kapo, Executive Director of Faktoje.al, Klodiana Kapo, Executive Director of Faktoje.al, Sh.T.Z. Reinout Vos, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Albania, deputies from the parliamentary committees of the Albanian Parliament, representatives from the Supreme State Audit Office, experts in the field of public finance, civil society and the media.

The Executive Director of Faktoje.al, Klodiana Kapo, in her speech emphasized the importance of this cooperation to convey to the public the problems, phenomena and institutional responsibility on the findings of the Supreme State Audit audits.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Albania, His Excellency Mr. Reinout Vos, during his speech emphasized the importance of this project which aims to strengthen institutions, accountability and inform citizens in a simple, understandable and tangible way.

Institutions can produce reports, responsive oversight  and identify gaps and recommendations on this issue, but if these findings remain unread, unexplained, or inaccessible to citizens, the transformative power is limited,” said Ambassador Vos.

The Supreme State Audit Office reconfirmed its commitment to transparency, institutional cooperation and professional support, in full respect of institutional independence and external audit standards, with the aim that the audit findings contribute to improving public policies and strengthening the transparency and accountability of public institutions.
