From 5 to 9 May 2025, ALSAI’s auditors participated in a study visit to the Turkish Court of Accounts (TCA) in Ankara, focusing on the exchange of experience in auditing the security sector. The visit was supported by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

The primary objective of the study visit was to exchange the Turkish Court of Accounts’ experience in auditing the defense and security sector, thereby facilitating the sharing of knowledge, expertise, and good practices between the two institutions. Throughout the programe, the Turkish Court of Accounts presented a number of audits conducted in the fields of defense and security, while also introducing participants to its audit methodology and practical approaches in this area.

To complement the technical sessions, participants took part in field visits to several institutions and organizations, including the Turkish Gendarmerie and the Presidency of Defense Industries, providing first-hand insight into the governance and oversight of Turkey’s defense and security sector.
