The Chairman of ALSAI, Mr. Arben Shehu, by invitation of the President of the Supreme Audit Office of Poland, Mr. Marian Banaś, on February 7, 2025 paid an official visit to this institution on the occasion of the 106th anniversary of its establishment.
Mr. Shehu was welcomed by President Banaś and other senior representatives of the institution. The President of the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts, at the same time President of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), Minister Vital do Rêgo, also participated in this meeting. President Banaś thanked Mr. Shehu for his participation in this significant day for the Supreme Audit Office of Poland. Senior representatives of the Supreme Audit Office of Poland presented a general framework of the organization and functioning of the institution.
Mr. Shehu and President Banaś, emphasized the excellent history of the relationship and cooperation between the two institutions, which will always be in further development and consolidation. The Chairman of ALSAI thanked President Banaś for the special reception and emphasized the importance and added value that the cooperation with the Supreme Audit Office of Poland has for the ALSAI. During the meeting, topics of common interest were also discussed, such as security and civil protection, the audit of Public Private Partnership projects, ad-hoc audits, etc. Mr. Shehu and President Banaś expressed, in addition to their appreciation, their full commitment and willingness to deepen this successful cooperation.
The Chairman of ALSAI, in his speech during the official anniversary ceremony of the Supreme Audit Office of Poland, expressed his congratulations on the 106th anniversary of its establishment and the best appreciation for the high level of this institution. He emphasized that every employee of this institution has been and is proud to be a part of this system and this honourable nation, which is a symbol of great resistance and the preservation of human values.
During his visit to Warsaw, Mr. Shehu also visited the “Warsaw Rising Museum”, which is dedicated to the Warsaw Uprising of 1944.
