On his part, Mr. Leskaj underlined as well the excellent relations between the two supreme audit institutions, the ALSAI and NIK. He also pointed out that these relations are the reflection of the feelings of friendship and respect between our two nations. Poland is the second country in the world, after the United States, for its long lasting existence of a democratic constitution. The Polish people have had over the years feelings of sympathy for the democratic and freedom-loving spirit of the Albanian nation. "These elective affinities are based on the friendship offered by the Polish NIK, and especially by its President Mr. Jacek Jezierski, a prominent figure of public audit in Europe and beyond. Our cooperation has been concrete, with a full and constant program of trainings for the Albanian auditors", - said the ALSAI Chairman.
On May 21st, 2013 the NIK President, Mr. Jezierski, will be our special guest and he will be decorated by the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bujar Nishani, for its contribution to the Albanian public institutions. As a sign of respect and support for the polish NIK, the ALSAI auditors have prepared an Albanian translation of the famous book "Polish Symbols".
The Polish Ambassador expressed his firm belief that the cooperation and the excellent relations between the two nations will continue in the future.
