On November 27th, in Vlora on the occasion of the celebrations for the 100th Anniversary of Albanian Independence, Mr. Bujar Leskaj, Chairman of the ALSAI and Mr. Ivan Klešić, General Auditor of the Croatian National Audit Office, signed a Cooperation Agreement.
The agreement was negotiated and drafted in accordance with the principles of mutual respect, trust and cooperation of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI), under the motto “Experientia Mutua Omnibus Prodest”.
It contemplates the exchange of lessons learned from audit activity, the training and advising of auditors on audit methods, the usage of experience gained by others as a basis for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the audit.
This document has a significant relevance for the ALSAI, because the Croatian National Audit Office is a developed SAI in the region and in Europe as well.
Thanks to the support provided by the agreement, the ALSAI and the Croatian National Audit Office will exchange experience in performance, financial, compliance auditing and information technology, as well as on the certification of financial statements.
At the signature of the Cooperation Agreement were present the delegations of the Slovenian, Kosovo and Turkish SAI-s, led respectively by Dr. Igor Šoltes, President of the Slovenian Court of Auditors, Mr. Lars Lage Olofsson, General Auditor of the Office of the Auditor General of Kosovo and Mr. Hikmet Cavia Erdogan, Senior Member of the Chamber of the Turkish Court of Accounts, who honored us with their presence on the occasion of the celebrations of the 100th Anniversary of Independence.
